Thesis Title
Soil water modelling in hill country, New Zealand

The water content in soil is highly variable over time and space, but it is a key driver of pasture production in New Zealand’s hill country. Mr Hajdu quantified this variability, and linked it to several terrain attributes, and to yield, by using a wireless sensor network and satellite imagery. His machine learning approach generated spatial soil moisture information to improve productivity and sustainability in complex hill country landscapes.
