Communication Internship

Flim crew.jpg Students with a strong background in communication, journalism, or marketing can apply for a full-semester internship worth 15 credits.  The Communication Internship involves a placement in a media company, for-profit business, community arts agency, sports organisation, governmental department, or global non-profit.  Internships are available on all three Massey campuses during Semester One and Two. The internship will serve as one of the four courses you take at Massey during the semester.

Office of Global Engagement Internship

Placements focusing on Massey’s study abroad and student exchange programmes are available through the Office of Global Engagement during Semester One and Two.  Interns will work alongside the Study Abroad and Student Exchange team across a range of internationally-focused projects.

This semester-long internship is only available on the Manawatū campus.  15 credits will be awarded through the Communication Internship, which will serve as one of the courses you take during the semester.  Please email us if you would like to intern with our team.

You can check out what our interns had to say about working with us if you want to find out what it was like from their point of view.

Health Research Internship

Massey University interns support the Healthy Active Learning government wellbeing initiative designed to promote and improve healthy eating and physical activity in schools and early learning services across New Zealand. Interns will collect data by visiting primary and intermediate schools (children aged 5-13 years) throughout selected regions of New Zealand. Interns will also be required to undertake data analysis and data entry as required.

Training will be provided and research-related expenses will be covered by Massey. These voluntary internships are not for credit and are available during Semester One and Two.  This is a great opportunity to explore NZ, get involved in a nationwide research project, and make friends along the way!  Email us if you are interested in this opportunity.

Fieldwork opportunities

A number of our courses help you explore New Zealand and its fascinating landscape and environment through fieldwork and practical experiences.
