About the MBA

The Massey MBA focuses on giving you the skills to lead with integrity. You will develop your strategic thinking skills, problem analysis and solving, technology and cultural competencies.

Your learning will draw from the most recent research, but also from business practitioners who will be presenting, mentoring and creating real-world assignments. The full-time MBA offers a work experience opportunity in a New Zealand firm, or an overseas firm with a New Zealand presence.

If you're a working professional with at least seven years of work experience and three years of management experience, you may be more suited to studying the Executive MBA.

Massey’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) is unique in New Zealand – the only MBA with specialisations, and that is available to study as a full-time or online option. You’ll benefit from connection to practice through guest lecturers and work experience opportunities, and gain practical knowledge that can be put to use immediately.

Leading the way online

With Massey's MBA, you’ll be exposed to leading-edge business thinking. It's New Zealand's only MBA designed in partnership with the award-winning Wiley Education Services, delivering world-class online technology and learning methods.

Study locations

You can choose from two ways of studying - full-time for a year on-campus, or studying completely online over a longer period.

Study online from anywhere

This flexible and convenient fully online study option is geared to the skills development needs of emerging/SME managers. That means it can be completed by those working in regional New Zealand or living outside of New Zealand.

Massey is an expert in distance learning, with over 50 years experience in this area. This online option gives you the flexibility to manage your workload, but with scheduled small group interactive sessions and on-call support.

You may mix some face-to-face sessions with your online study should you wish.

Study on-campus

This applied option from an accredited university allows you to study full-time and complete their studies within a year. This allows you the chance to get a major upgrade to your career with minimal absence from work.

As a full-time MBA, it involves face-to-face sessions from Tuesday to Thursday located in Auckland.
