Research at the Massey University Psychology Clinic (Palmerston North) is largely applied, designed to improve practice, and often includes student participation.
Our research aims to discover, interpret and revise psychological knowledge related to clinical practice. Research in the clinic uses several methods, and is not confined to scientific method. Fostering research is part of our clinicians’ practice as scientist-practitioners. This ensures our practice is based on sound principles and validated techniques, and that outcomes and practices are measurable.
