Accommodation is available at all 3 Massey campuses. Apply online as soon as applications open for the best chance of securing a place. Read the steps carefully before starting your application.

Applications open:

  • 1 August – Full year and Semester One (following year)
  • 1 April – Semester Two (current year)

Offers released:

  • From 1 October – Full year and Semester One
  • From 1 May – Semester Two

Apply as early as possible for the best chance of securing a place. Late applications will only be considered if rooms are still available.

Prepare your application

Register with the Accommodation Portal

Before you can apply, you need to register with the online Accommodation Portal using your personal email address. This email will be your login username and the main way we communicate with you during the process.

In the Portal, you can:

  • save an application and return later
  • check the status of your application
  • read the terms of your Residential Agreement
  • review and accept your Offer of Place.

What you’ll need to provide

As part of your application, you’ll be asked for details about your health, wellbeing, disability and dietary needs. This helps us plan any support you may require, in consultation with you.

We’ll also ask about your interests, hobbies and living preferences to help us allocate the most suitable accommodation.

References

  • First-time students who are New Zealand citizens or residents must provide a reference.
  • International and returning residents do not need a reference.
  • School leavers should arrange for their school to complete the online Common Confidential Reference Form (CCRF).

Apply for Massey accommodation

1, Submit your application online

  • Log into the Accommodation Portal
  • Select the campus where you will be studying
  • Work through the multi-stage application process
  • Rank your preferred accommodation options. We’ll do our best to meet your first choice.

2, Accept your Offer of Place

If successful, you’ll receive an email with your Offer of Place. Offers are sent weekly from:

  • 1 October – Semester One and full year
  • 1 May – Semester Two.

If rooms are full, you may be placed on a waitlist and offered a place if one becomes available.

Before accepting, make sure you:

  • read and understand the Residential Agreement and Community Standards
  • review the Accommodation Handbook
  • confirm you can afford the accommodation fees

Accepting your Offer means entering into a legally binding fixed-term contract.

3, Complete the Residential Agreement and pay deposit

For the final step in securing your accommodation, make sure you:

  • complete the Residential Agreement
  • pay the deposit on time.

Arrival information will be sent approximately 6 weeks before arrival day.
