  • Escorted pickup available from most schools in Palmerston North
  • Priority given to parents or caregivers studying and working at Massey
  • Open weekdays all year except two weeks over Christmas and statutory holidays
  • Not-for-profit: all fees go back into running the Club

  • Spacious facility in a quiet location with natural surrounds, and large open and sheltered outdoor areas for play

School term

  • 3.00pm pick up from school by someone from Massey Kids' Club
  • 5.30pm pick up by parents or caregivers from Massey Kids' Club
  • Open weekdays 
  • Closed for two weeks at Christmas and statutory holidays

Holiday programme

  • 7.30am - 5.30pm during school holidays

Fees

After school programme

For children at schools within a 10km radius of Massey Kids' Club:

  • $22 per day per child
  • $95 per week (5 day booking) per child

If your child is at a school further away than 10km, talk with us.

Half day during term time

If your child has an early finish at school (lunchtime) and needs picking up, we can do this. The cost is:

  • $30 per child if not enrolled in after school programme
  • $8 per child if enrolled in after school programme

School holiday programme

  • $50 per day per child
  • $225 per week (five days) per child
  • Additional fees for trips based on actual entrance or travel costs (typically $10-$25)

A non-refundable deposit of $30.00 per child per week needs to be paid when you book.

Late pick up fee

  • $5 per family

Compulsory annual membership fee

We charge a non-refundable membership fee when you enrol for any Massey Kids' Club programme. You need to pay this every year your child is enrolled with us and it goes directly into running the Club.

Payment terms

Fees need to be paid in advance at the beginning of each week or before the holiday programme starts. Payment details can be found in the enrolment forms.

School holiday programme

We run a priority booking system as follows:

  • Families with children enrolled in our after school childcare programme: bookings open six weeks before the programme starts.
  • Parents at Massey University whose children aren't currently enrolled in an after school childcare programme: bookings open five weeks before the programme starts.
  • General public: bookings open four weeks before the programme starts.

Enrolment forms are updated with specific dates each term for when priority bookings are open. Once booking is open to the wider community outside Massey, bookings are on a first-in-first-served basis.

Absence

After school childcare

Contact us by phone (including text) before 1.30pm if your child is going to be absent from after school childcare. You still need to pay your fees if your child is away due to sickness.

Let us know by 9:30am on the day of the holiday programme if your child is going to be absent. You still need to pay your fees if your child is away due to sickness.
