Dr Martin Patrick is an art critic and historian of contemporary visual art, performance, and cultural theory. He is a regular contributor to a wide variety of international publications. His book Across the Art/Life Divide: Performance, Subjectivity, and Social Practice in Contemporary Art was published in 2018 by Intellect/University of Chicago. His research involves critically engaged writing on interdisciplinary practices and experimental uses of media. In 2018, he was a writing resident at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Dr Patrick has presented his research as a keynote speaker and panellist at public galleries and museums, conferences, and symposia.
