The school contributes a range of Māori language, development, culture, health and education courses to programmes in areas such as arts, nursing, social work and education.
We emphasise research that promotes a Māori world view. Our staff are involved in research that covers Māori development, health, language, education and more.
If you want to pursue professional sport, getting an education is so important to have that life balance. You can do it at the same time and it gives you something to build on for the future.

My lecturers’ flexibility and recognition of my interests and commitments outside of academia has been great and this has enabled my personal, professional, and academic growth throughout my time at Massey. The intellectual and conceptual tools, work ethic, independence and discipline that geography in particular has helped me develop have already proven to be of value every day.

The te reo courses teach you more than just words and sentence structure. It’s more than just learning the language. It is about actively living the language in everyday life in a fun, safe and comfortable Māori environment.
