Manawatū campus library facilities
The Library has a large collection of print and online resources, covering all subjects taught at the campus. Our friendly staff can help you with all your queries. The Library also has study spaces and computer, printing and photocopying facilities.

Low sensory space
A low-sensory room is available in the library, next to the computer lab on Level B. Students can use the room for rest and decompressing rather than to study or socialise. The room has low lighting, comfortable furniture, weighted blankets, fidget toys and other features.
You don't need to book the room, but you may need to share it with others.

Computers
The Library also has computers for students, with library and IT support staff available to assist you. Some halls of residence also have small computer labs.
Parents' room
You can use the parents’ room in the Library for feeding babies and changing nappies. It also has a small fridge.
Ask at the service point to use the room. Library staff will show you where it is.
Places to eat and drink
These cafés and bars are located on the Manawatū campus. Opening hours may vary during semester breaks.

Kainga Rua and Wharekai Toi Te Ora
Kainga Rua and Toi Te Ora are great places to study and meet mentors for tangata whenua students. Kainga Rua is in the YFC Building, Rehab Road. Toi Te Ora is in Te Pūtahi-a-Toi, School of Māori Knowledge, He Pūmanawa Hauora Building, Bourke Road.
Fale Pasifika
Fale Pasifika is a great place to study for tangata Pasifika students. You can meet mentors and peer tutors for assistance. Use a shared kitchen, computers and other resources. Located in the Young Farmers Club (YFC) Building, Rehab Road.
Student lounge
Relax or study in the student lounge, which includes a pool table, foosball table, piano and recycled book swap. Bring your own cup for a free hot drink at our Wellbeing Café.

Aviation Centre
One of a kind in New Zealand, the Aviation Centre includes Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft, flight simulators, maintenance hangers, operations area, classrooms and briefing rooms overlooking runways.
Human Performance Laboratory
This laboratory evaluates performance for a wide range of sports and occupational activities, with state-of-the-art research and testing equipment.
Massey Farms
Students and researchers can access 2,000 hectares at our 6 working farms, including dairy farms, sheep and beef farms, deer breeding unit, mixed enterprise and cropping unit.
New Zealand Indigenous Flora Seed Bank
The seed bank collects the seeds of Aotearoa New Zealand plants to conserve the biodiversity within our indigenous flora. Seed banking is a recognised conservation strategy to support in-situ conservation efforts.
Nursing simulation suites
Learn and practice nursing skills using actors, interactive manikins and real-time body camera recordings, mock hospital settings, 2-way observation spaces, and standard nursing equipment for hospital or community work.

The Massey Sport and Event Centre offers high quality facilities for schools, sports teams, corporate events and private functions.
About the Veterinary Teaching Hospital
Our Veterinary Teaching Hospital offers final year students practical placements under the care and guidance of our qualified Veterinary Teams.
BodPod and other specialist equipment
The BodPod is an advanced piece of equipment used to accurately and easily measure your body composition. It uses an air-displacement method to measure all the fat in your body, which sets it apart from less direct techniques of body composition measurement.

Computer labs and video editing suite
Students have ready access to computer labs where they can use the latest software to scan film, edit video, audio and photography, and create 3D models. The College also has a state-of-the-art audio and video postproduction suite with all the gear needed for students to create very high quality media.
Massey horticultural units
Purpose-built facilities for teaching and research in plant science and production include:
- 7 hectare orchard
- 25 glasshouses
- six temperature-controlled rooms
- growth cabinets.
Plantings include apples, pears, green and gold kiwifruit, and vegetable trials of traditional Māori crops.
