School of Nursing

Massey’s School of Nursing works closely with District Health Boards and health organisations in New Zealand and around the world to improve the health of people and their communities. Our high-quality programmes are taught on all three campuses, and our supportive staff are at the forefront of research, teaching and leadership.

Study programmes

Our nationally and internationally recognised nursing programmes are approved by The Nursing Council of New Zealand. We prepare our graduates to be accomplished, highly competent and skilled nursing professionals, ready for rewarding careers in a wide range of settings.

Research expertise

The School of Nursing’s research focuses on primary health care and mental health as well as nursing development as it relates to the workforce, clinical practice, and patient safety and education. Our research is authentic and sustainable, and is based on respectful partnerships between researchers and the people with whom we conduct research. We seek to make a difference.
