Sustainability has been identified as a key future issue for businesses. This major has been designed to bring together learning around management skills and contemporary issues in sustainability.
Management involves both being able to work independently and make management decisions, but also being able to work with and direct teams of people. Those people could be within your organisation, or external clients and stakeholders. The Master of Management study programme works with you to help develop these skills as well as specialist business capability in your endorsement of choice.
It is a relevant, contemporary qualification, with a unique core of courses that focus on the key business skills of communication, understanding current issues in business and on the fundamentals of sustainability. This gives you a solid platform of knowledge to build on in your area of interest.
Areas of focus for this sustainability major include corporate social responsibility, ethics, the carbon-free economy and the UN Sustainable Development Goals and specific management applications such as the ethical behaviour of management within businesses and organisations.
Your study draws on published and consistently cited-research by discipline leaders, designed to give you the ability to understand the issues and, where necessary, drive change in your organisation.
The Master of Management (Sustainability) has been developed in consultation with major industry bodies, to ensure that the content and learning is consistent with issues and current gaps in business process and knowledge. The Master of Management works to help you understand the issues, and gain the right skills to bring a sustainability perspective to management positions, ultimately contributing to your employability.
