Our Auckland campus facilities and services support the learning and growth of our staff, students and visitors. Most of the study facilities are on the East Precinct site. Discover quiet spots to study, where to get coffee and how to navigate Massey as a student or visitor.

The library has print and online resources for all subjects taught on campus. Use the study spaces, computers, printing and photocopying facilities. You can also book the mini-theatre or family room.

The Recreation Centre at Massey's Auckland Campus in the suburb of Albany is open for casual use or membership for students, staff and the public.

Computer labs

All students can use the computers at the Library. If you have any questions, library staff can help you.

You can go to the computer labs when they’re not being used for teaching. Make sure you leave the labs before a teaching class begins, including evenings and weekends.

Computer labs have both PC and Mac computers.

Marae and fale facilities

Te Whare Taupua

Our Auckland campus has a Māori space – Te Whare Taupua – that's home to Te Rau Tauawhi, the Māori student support centre. While it's mostly a student space, it's also used for Māori events.

Fale Manaaki

There are 2 dedicated Pacific spaces on the Auckland campus – Fale Manaaki, where you can meet, relax or study and Pacific Ako Corner in the library.

Low sensory space

A low-sensory room is available in the library, next to the computer lab on Level B. Students can use the room for rest and decompressing rather than to study or socialise. The room has low lighting, comfortable furniture, weighted blankets, fidget toys and other features.

You don't need to book the room, but you may need to share it with others.

Student lounge

Te Tira Ahu Pae is your students’ association during your study at Massey. Relax or study in the student lounge, which includes a pool table, foosball table, piano and recycled book swap. Bring your own cup for a free hot drink at our Wellbeing Café.

Chaplaincy service

Chaplaincy service Minita Whakapono

Chaplains support students to make sense of life and learning and promote wellbeing. We hold regular events and can put you in touch with different faith communities. A multi faith prayer space is located in the Round Room on Level 1 of the Atrium.

The student health centre provides medical services from skilled doctors and nurses. Clinics are open from Monday to Friday and cost less than other health centres.

Use world-class facilities to develop your skills and master new techniques. Here are just some of the facilities available on our Auckland campus.

Trading Room

The Massey University Trading Room was the first of its kind in New Zealand - fully-functional trading room to aid student learning.

It contains Bloomberg financial terminals, a live stock price ticker and information and news screens and gives Massey's finance students real-life fund management experience.

Sport and Exercise Science Research Laboratory

This laboratory offers a physiological and biomechanical analysis for many sports and occupational activities. Laboratory staff have experience with a wide range of sports, athletes and occupations.

Speech-language Therapy Clinic

A teaching clinic offering therapy for children and adults who experience communication and eating difficulties. Supervised by specialist staff, students provide assessment and intervention support at the clinic and in the community.

The clinic combines the clinical, nutritional and research expertise of Massey dietitians and nutritionists, with the enthusiasm and creativity of our dietetics students.

Empathy Lab

Empathy is a key aspect of healthcare. But when you're fit and healthy, it's not always easy to understand the impacts of long-term illness or ageing. Nursing students wear special suits that mimic what it's like to do daily tasks after suffering a stroke, or being restricted by declining health.

Albany Psychology Clinic

Our clinic on the Auckland campus in Albany provides psychological assessment and treatment services for the public. We also offer professional development for psychologists and students.

Childcare

Our highly qualified and experienced team at Massey Child Care Centre offers day care for children from birth to 6 years old. We’re a not-for-profit organisation working in a newly built early childhood centre.

Wifi

Use your student ID and password to log into MasseyWiFi. Once you're logged in, you can use the internet and get on to the Massey network.

Guests and visitors to Massey can use the MUGuests wifi. This is an open, public network with a data limit of 600MB a day.
