Built on the site of the Pukeahu National War Memorial, the campus is in walking distance of Wellington's shops, cafes and famously vibrant culture. Between the city's lively arts scene, year-round schedule of festivals, and landmarks like the world-famous Wētā Workshop or The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, there's always something to do when you’re not busy in the library or studio.

Wellington is the home of New Zealand's government and bursting with creative industry, tech hubs and a world-class film scene. It's also surrounded by spectacular nature – you can expect your university experience to be full of trips to the beach, mountain-bike rides and tramps in the bush.

We're NASAD approved, ranked in the QS Top 100 for art and design, and third in Asia Pacific for design concept. The School of Health Sciences offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in health science and nursing. With the Centre for Public Health Research and Sleep/Wake Research Centre based in Wellington, there's lots of scope for research-led study.

We have three Halls of Residence on our Wellington campus, with rooms and studios for first and second-years, and students over 20. You can also apply to live with a family in a homestay, or rent a room or flat privately.
