Vincent Wijeysingha qualified as a social worker in 1995, took his doctorate from Sheffield University in 2002, then worked in child protection, mainly in London. In 2009, he returned to his native Singapore where he worked with low-waged migrant workers and on LGBT rights while teaching at a local university. He came to New Zealand in 2015 where he has worked as a social policy analyst and social work lecturer. He joined Massey in February 2020.
