I have been in the field of early childhood education for the past 13 years in New Zealand, which includes time spent in academia and the early childhood sector. As a facilitator, I lead my learners to think, link and create novel opportunities for children.

I enjoy being research active, my current research is centred on the discourse of language, culture and identity of migrant families in Aotearoa. I am multilingual and my interest in te reo Māori led me to do my Masters thesis on the experiences of early childhood student teachers in the practice of Māori language.
