Institute of EducationMy wider academic interests include experiential and mind-body therapeutic approaches, phenomenology, place and counsellor education, with an emphasis on reflective practice and professional-personal development. I am committed to integrating research and practice to support the development of ethical, skilled, and culturally responsive counselling professionals.
I am a Senior Lecturer in the postgraduate Counselling programme (PgDip and Masters) and hold a PhD from Canterbury Christ Church University (UK). My research focuses on outdoor therapies exploring client and therapist perspectives of how working in outdoor settings and bodily movement influences the therapeutic relationship and supports processes of change.
