Recently, there has been wide spread use of vibration machines in fitness, clinical and rehabilitation fields however, given its potential benefit the research to understanding vibration exercise has often lagged behind its application. Mr Cochrane discovered that acute vibration potentiates muscle by increasing strength and power qualities, which will assist sportspeople, older persons and those with compromised health. Additionally, it has a practical application for warming-up prior exercise as it rapidly elevates muscle temperature compared to other traditional warm-up methods.
