All creative endeavours involve dilemmas, and these dilemmas either hinder, or facilitate, the progress of intervention. Mr Sajid’s thesis explored the dilemmas experienced by innovative educators while developing and implementing their educational innovations. He interviewed 30 university teachers who not only had successfully led team-based pedagogical innovation projects but had also published about their innovations in peer-reviewed academic journals. Cognitive mapping and thematic analysis were employed to analyse the data. The findings of his research indicate that pedagogical innovators encounter a range of dilemmas while realising their innovations and the effective management of these dilemmas enables them to progress toward their intended pedagogical goals.
