Therapists' emotional and social skills are extremely important in navigating the therapeutic environment. Mr Marwick investigated therapists' practicing styles according to the emotional and social skills they report to employ in their practices. His findings led to the creation of a tentative model describing the developmental pathway of a therapist's practicing style.
