Dr Laura Mulshine

I graduated with a BVSc (Dist) from Massey University in 2013, having previously earned a BA from Reed College in Portland, Oregon. After beginning my career as a dairy veterinarian in Ashburton, I transitioned to small animal practice and later returned to Portland, where I developed a strong interest in veterinary dentistry while working at a low-cost dental clinic.

Following a move back to the Manawatū, I worked as Lead Small Animal Veterinarian at a rural mixed practice serving Bulls and Marton before joining Massey University. I am a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) as of 2026 with a special interest in Small Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery. 

I am passionate about strengthening the human-animal bond through personalised, client-centred care. My clinical and teaching interests include dentistry, veterinary wellbeing, and helping future veterinarians build sustainable, rewarding careers.
