Rebecca’s current role is to provide high level strategic, organisational, and operational advice to assist the DVC Students and Global Engagement (SaGE) in decision-making, quality assurance and risk management for SaGE. To act as a trusted advisor with a thorough understanding of all current and future work programmes across SaGE and be well connected across the university and understands the major issues, challenges, tensions and opportunities. This includes coordinating and developing business cases, analysis, plans and reporting.

Rebecca is also responsible for leading the Business Services Team, who are made up of a team of administrative and advisory staff to deliver comprehensive general administration and advisory/reporting services for SaGE, with a focus on continuously improving services, support processes and systems.

Prior to this Rebecca had been at Massey University for a number of years including the following roles:

University wide COVID-19 Operations/Working Group Chair.

Acting International Marketing Manager.

Business Operations and Relationship Manager - providing advice and support in relation to Massey University Worldwide/TNE activities and projects. Researching, investigating and preparing advice for Massey’s offshore activities. Responsible for drafting offshore delivery contracts and coordinating the implementation of these projects including coordinating corporate, HR, tax and legal operational considerations. Responsible for the development and implementation of Massey University Worldwide projects and new initiatives.

Senior Advisor - Academic and International for the Office of the Assistant Vice-Chancellor - Research, Academic and Enterprise and Office of the Assistance Vice-Chancellor -Operations, International and University Registrar. Her responsibilities during this position were similar to her current role, however for domestic and international arrangements.

Student Information Manager/Publications Manager. Her role involved managing the production processes for the University’s core student administration information (print publications, official student correspondence, key websites) and learning materials (printed and support for online study materials). It also involved establishing and monitoring quality assurance, and implementing policies and procedures regarding student information across the University.

Previously Rebecca worked at Statistics New Zealand, a government department, as a Subject Matter Project Manager and Senior Statistical Analyst in the Housing and Expenditure Team, producing a series of reports and outputs based on a programme of housing statistics including leading a number of projects.
