Dr Elena Garnevska PhD

Senior Lecturer in Agribusiness

Elena obtained her MSc degree from Bulgaria (University of National and World Economics, Sofia) and a PhD degree from Bournemouth University, United Kingdom. Prior to her arrival in New Zealand she was involved in a range of EU educational and research projects regarding designing masters courses and running market research in different European countries. Her research interests focus on agribusiness, Agricultural cooperatives, food marketing, farm and strategic management. Particular interests relate to New Zealand (NZ) and international agribusiness, agricultural cooperatives, food marketing and export strategies, environmental sustainability, agriculture in the EU; Central and Eastern Europe and China. She has been a reviewer for several agribusiness, farm management and rural policy journals and conferences. Postgraduate supervision includes five PhD students and three Masters students.
