Essays on Corporate Cross-listing Decisions

Listing on multiple stock exchanges provides significant financial and market outcomes for corporations. However, research on how cross-listing decisions are driven by domestic and foreign market dynamics and uncertainties is limited. In addition, studies on how the decision to cross-list impacts ensuing corporate decisions and strategies are lacking. Mr Agyemang examined how domestic and foreign market dynamics influenced cross-listing decisions and the effect of cross-listing on subsequent corporate decisions. He found that uncertainties in domestic markets encouraged cross-listing to international markets, while global market uncertainties discouraged cross-listing.  He also found that cross-listing on more robust markets promoted information sharing and influenced corporate financing strategies and decisions.
