Ms Sulaiman investigated how religiosity affects the expression and feelings of frontline employees in ways that lead to ethical decisions, with the focus on Muslims in Malaysia. To this end, five factors were empirically tested to determine their mediation of the relationship between religiosity and ethical decision-making. The findings indicate conscience mediates the relationship. Conscience is an emotion produced when the decision-maker anticipates the feelings of guilt when making unethical decisions. Results also suggest that it is important that the manifestations of religiosity be observed in believers' cognition, affection and behaviour for religiosity to have positive effects on believers. So knowledge in business ethics and religiosity are vital to assist employees in navigating challenging workplaces. Ms Sulaiman's research will not only benefit organisations, but will also contribute to the betterment of society as a whole.
