Thesis Title
Changes in beliefs of pre-service teachers in an ESP teacher education program in Vietnam

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a branch of English language teaching, referring to the teaching and learning of English language used in specific occupational, professional and academic contexts. Although ESP has been growing in importance, little is known about ESP in relation to teacher education. Changes in pre-service teachers' beliefs about ESP teaching has not been explored. Ms Dang traced changes in beliefs of 12 pre-service ESP teachers in a teacher education programme in Vietnam. She found that the pre-service teachers' beliefs were susceptible to change, their beliefs changed in different ways, and their belief changes were influenced by the integration of a wide range of contextual and internal factors.
