Dr Marta Rychert PhD

Senior Research Officer

SHORE Centre

Marta is a Senior Research Officer at the SHORE & Whariki Research Centre. Her work lies at the intersection of health, policy and law, with particular focus on regulating legal markets for cannabis (recreational and medical cannabis) and other psychoactive products, including new psychoactive substances (NPS, “legal highs”), e-cigarettes and alcohol. She has analysed implementation of drug and cannabis policy reforms in Europe, New Zealand and the Caribbean. Prior to her academic appointments in New Zealand she worked in the European Union Drugs Agency (EMCDDA) in Portugal.
