Research Expertise
Research Interests
I am a multi-media artist whose research sits within the expanded practice of drawing. Combining traditional and technological processes to explore the neurological pathways of memory and experience.
I am exploring how drawing through technology can reflect and reveal how the brain processes personal recollections of site. Gathering, purging, layering, selecting, favoring and reconfiguring memory appropriate to the significance of the original emotional experience. This current body of work sourcing the traditional observed elements (texture, density, colour and spacing) of ‘the botanical study’ to develop a contemporary twist on how natures’ patterns effect our emotional, ocular and mental perceptions.
