Lynsey is an active member of the Central Auckland Rough Sleepers Initiative and Sustainable Bays Transition town group. Her research interests include social work ethics, environmental and sustainable social work and field education. She is currently enrolled as a PhD student the working titile of her research is "Educating for our future; addressing the impacts of climate change in New Zealand social work education"
Lynsey moved to New Zealand from London in 2002. She now lives with her partner and two children in Auckland. Her social work practice background spans homeless and transient populations, social services management, forensic mental health and addictions. Her experience extended to a total of twenty years practice before taking a teaching role on the social work programme at Massey University in 2010, Lynsey also coordinates all social work field placements for the Auckland area. She enroled in the PhD Social Work in January 2015 looking at educating NZ social workers on the impacts of climate change.
Lynsey is enrolled in the PhD Social Work her title and objectives are: "Educating for our future; addressing the impacts of climate change in New Zealand social work education".
