I am a Massey University Veterinary Graduate (2001). I teach Veterinary Clinical Pathology and am a member of the Bachelor of Veterinary Science management team.  My research focuses on veterinary student selection and Indigenous access to veterinary education. To that end I serve on several American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) committees, namely the Council on International Veterinary Education, the Admission and Recruitment committee and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee.

Research Expertise

Research Interests

My clinical pathology research interests are the haematology of New Zealand native wildlife, particularly avian species, and companion animal urinalysis and urine testing.

I am also interested in the issues surrounding veterinary education, particularly the admission process, and am researching various aspects of veterinary student selection.
