Thesis Title
Decolonising management practices in non-Indigenous organisations
Research Description
My research looks to understand what the critical factors are for operationalising Maori frameworks in non-Maori organisations using the recent Te Awa Tupua bill as a case study.
Personal Description
E rere kau mai te awa nui, mai te kahui maunga ki Tangaroa. Ko au te awa, ko te awa ko au. Born and bred in Whanganui, I have been working full time in a kaupapa Maori research institute for the past nine years. The timing of our Awa Tupua bill means that I thought it would be timely to do something meaningful in terms of the implementation of it, particularly in mainstream settings. I believe Massey University is the perfect place to do that as it's a great university to relate learning in real-life experiences.
