Maria Dacre

Maria Dacre is a lecturer at Massey University with extensive experience in primary education, curriculum development, and teacher education. Her research centers on children’s rights and participation, particularly within the framework of the UNCRC. Maria leads the primary endorsement for the Graduate Diploma of Learning & Teaching and contributes to postgraduate supervision and curriculum innovation. Her work promotes inclusive, autonomy-supportive learning environments and educational equity. She has advised international education bodies and published widely on student voice, self-determination, and culturally responsive pedagogy.
