Chinthaka Atapattu is a Senior Tutor in Quantity Surveying & Construction Law at the School of Built Environment, Massey University, New Zealand. In addition to that he is also a Junior Research Officer for the CanConstruct NZ research project. Currently, he is reading for his PhD in the same school. He has 10 years of industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Oman, Qatar, and Sri Lanka. Chinthaka is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MNZIQS), New Zealand Institute of Building (MNZIOB), Society of Construction Law - New Zealand and the Royal Society New Zealand (MRSNZ). Also, he is an Associate Member of American Society of Civil Engineers (A.M.ASCE).
