Dr Masako Wada PhD

Research Officer

School of Veterinary Science

I am a researcher in veterinary epidemiology. I have DVM from Hokkaido University, MSc by Research from The University of Edinburgh and PhD from Massey University. I am interested in developing and applying various epidemiological tools for supporting decision making, outbreak response, early warning systems, and climate change preparedness. My current projects include disease economics, foot-and-mouth disease modelling, climate-sensitive disease modelling, early aberration reporting systems and application of artificial intelligence in epidemiology.
