Dr Surangika Ranathunga is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences. She holds a PhD from University of Otago. Her research interests include Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. She is particularly interested in low-resource language computing. She was a recipient of Googe Award for Inclusion Research, 2022.
