Philippa Butler is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Education, Massey University. Her teaching focuses on research methods and the practice of research, and her research interests include teacher retention, ethnic group identifications, and issues of equity in education. She holds a PhD in Social Anthropology, which looked at people who identify with multiple ethnic groups. She is an expert in qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research.
