Fleur Connor-Douglas

Academic Developer - SoTL

The Centre for Education Transformation

As an educational developer, I am the liaison point between the College of Health and the expertise within the Centre for Teaching and Learning and together we respond to priority teaching and learning projects. This role has me working alongside the CoH's Associate Deans (Teaching and Learning & Māori), programme leaders and teaching teams, NCTL teaching consultants, learning consuttants, student success advisors, equity advisors, Pasifika and Māori advisors, multi-media designers, online course builders, education technologists, librarians and students, .  We work in partnership to realise goals in relation to the success, transition, achievement and retention of our students.

I am an educational developer within the National Centre for Teaching and Learning, working closely with the College of Health.  I am interested in students having rewarding and successful learning experiences during  their time at the university and the skills they will be able to transfer outside the university.  My work is focused on curriculum development and review, the development of the online learning environment, the promotion of active, learner-centred approaches to teaching and learning, effective assessment practices, and the seamless integration of literacy and employability skill development into programmes and courses.
