Entry requirements

NOTE: This major can be started at the Auckland or Manawatū campuses but the final two years of the programme must be completed at Manawatū. If you start studying this major at Auckland, before beginning Year 3 you will need to decide if:

  1. you are going to change major so you can remain studying on the Auckland campus OR
  2. you are going to move to the Manawatū campus to continue with this major.

Requirements

Entry into the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours will be guaranteed to applicants who gain University Entrance and appropriate level specified in the relevant qualifications listed below.

NCEA Level 3

At least 16 credits in Mathematics normally including standards in algebra, differentiation and integration
At least 16 credits in Physics
At least 14 credits in Chemistry

Cambridge International Examinations: A Level

Mathematics (C Grade) and physics (C Grade) and chemistry (C Grade)

International Baccalaureate: 29 points

Mathematics (5 points Higher Level) and Physics (5 points Higher Level) and Chemistry (5 points Higher Level)
